place to crash in dublin/galway

hello,
I will be in dublin in july (two weeks more or less). maybe i will head to galway as well. i'm hoping to find someone who can put me up (even just a day or two) or let me know a good cheap hostel or hotel to sleep at. i'm a good cook! thanks

it's me again and i'm still hoping some kind stranger will read this post and say "well, i've a free room with a king sized waterbed next to an indoor jacuzzi in the centre of dublin and you are welcome to stay as long as you like. plus, it's 20 meters from the best pitch in Ireland. come my friend, come!"
or even just a floor on the outskirts of dublin. or a hostel or hotel recommendation.
