I'm thinking about giving Covent Garden a try sometime soon and was wondering if anyone could tell me how it works. Is it like the Edinburgh festival where you have to register before a certain time in the morning and have your name pulled from a hat for a choice of time-slots?
The Queens birthday in Amsterdam is another I'm giving some thought to. I presume it will be a case of turning up and just hoping to find an untendered spot on the day? Just wanted to check these things out before making possible wasted journeys.
