Jesus, I knew this man. He was best friends with my grand parents and was at their 50th wedding anniversary 14 months ago. Off now to give them a call......

My grand father just told me that Melvin's wishes were to be cremated without any funeral or memorial of any kind. He said to scatter his ashes "anywhere". His local magic ring is planning a special show where the proceeds will go to his widow. Ninety-Four years old and over 60 years in show business -- should we all be so lucky.

Melvin was the reason I got interested in sideshow stunts. I read an article about him somewhere, and his whole outlook just seemed really cool. I have seen some footage of his Blockhead routine, and it was fantastic!

Shame I never got to meet him. Sounds like by all regards he was well liked.
