this is going to sound so self important & stupid... but.

my booking AGENT fucked up my hotel reservations in new orleans for this weekend... now we can't book anything ('cause it's new years and all) and i can't even get a reservation at the india house hostel i usually stay at.

are any of my nola friends going to be around & if so is there anyone who wouldn't mind having a very sweet and adorable fire eater who does dishes and cooks crash on their couch/floor/hammock/whatever for three days/two nites?

?

thank you...
the very up shit creek w/out a paddle,

I don't know if this can help, but I have crashed with jugglers pulled out of the book on occasion. They have always been good hosts. A current IJA roster would provide a bevy of possible names, but online you can check out:

These guys may know of a carpeted floor with your name on it.

Call Adam Clark at 504 593 9564, and tell him you got his number from a friend of his brothers. His brother Ryan and (Ryan's) girlfriend Debi moved up into my area from New Orleans recently. They are jugglers who are building 2 cool dome homes here. They've been to my home for parties, and Martin and I have visited their domes, brought some of my old furniture over, ect. They used to own a prop shop, and sold the Silly People a huge box of yoyos when they visited. I expect Phil will put a photo of his ass on them, and sell them at a loss.
Ryan and Deb said he lives in a small place right on Bourbon Street. They don't expect any problem with you staying there, and they will phone him tonight, but suggested that if he has no room, he should be able to give you more contacts.
Ask him for the number for Chester Simmons, who Ryan and Debbie stayed with before, or Krekel Bill, who occassionally rents rooms.
Best of luck. First distress signal we've had in awhile, other than the Rumple nose thing.

thanks guys... i appreciate all the help. i just got an email from the hostel i usually stay at down there that said that they cannot accept any more reservations because the remaining beds are for 'walk-ins' ~~ so that if i come in as soon as i get there they may be able to accomodate me... i guess i'll try that first... but, i'm going to give your friends a call as well as a back up... http://www.performers.net/ubb/smile.gif
