Ok folks, I've turned on the "images in signatures" feature.

No you can add vB code to your signatures, including the vB image tag. http://www.newperformers.net/forums/misc.php?s=&action=bbcode
All you need to do is:

Go to your profile page and add the appropriate image code to the signature box.

Then post a message and make sure you check the "Show signature" box before submitting the message.

Just be sure the image file is uploaded to your server and make a direct link to it using the entire URL. Either .gif or .jpg files are supported.

This is the maximum size image I will allow in your signature:

If anyone posts anything larger, I'll delete it. And of course SMALLER images are always appreciated.

Keep these things in mind:
Less is More
Clutter is Bad
Blinking Animated Gifs Are Hideous

If this gets out of hand and I get too many complaints, I only need to hit one button to turn this feature off, so use it responsibly.

Thanks... and have fun.
Jim!

Look at this page.http://www.newperformers.net/forums/misc.php?s=&action=bbcode
Scroll down to the code for adding images.

Look at what you put, instead of the correct code.

Jim

P.S. You need to use [ ] instead of < > and it's NOT HTML. encase the URL of the image between IMG tags. Don't use the "src=" part.

PEOPLE!!!!!

You need to put your signature IMAGE FILE somewhere on the WEB. Upload it to a server somewhere. It can't be on your hard drive.

It needs to have an actual address like this:

http://www.performers.net/sigs/maximage.gif

You need to follow the instructions on the vB Code page here:http://www.newperformers.net/forums/misc.php?s=&action=bbcode

You need to put this code into the 'signature' field on your 'profile' page. The code will point to your image file on your server and place the image under your posts.

It is really simple.
