View Full Version : My Live Performance Workshop
Scot Nery teaching a workshop about live performance at the portland juggling festival this weekend.
This year, the festival will be held in Portland, OR(tm). If you have hated me on performers.net, come and see me show you why -- I've been putting all my effort into being a decent live performer.

Is this something to do with Artquate festival in Portland?
Don't think so. Portland Juggling Festival is an independent convention run by the portland juggling club.
More details on the workshop:
I would usually rather see an act that's generally considered horrible than an act that's generic and passable. Most acts live in this boring grey area.
Every performer's original inspiration & aspiration is much higher. To me, this is embarrassing.
My purpose is to...
* re-inspire and encourage older performers
* give tools to performers (present and future) that simplify audience engagement
* bring new life to the stage
* give a mermaid to every sailor
I have worked very hard to find what it is that makes a show entertaining and I'm going to share as many of my secrets as I can percolate.
