Hi all, im heading up to Barcelona, very soon. Can anyone tell me what the seen is there with piches and accomodation? really apprecate it in advance.

barcelona is well playd out you can play in the rambla or in the old part of town but you got to put in hours on the street to make a living.places to sleep are expensive dont arive with out money,

I just herd that the police in barcelona confiscate your instruments
any thing that sounds loud drums,amps ect.they feel bad destroying them so they give them to the schools,ask aroud before you play

Dont be silly , the police in Barcelona are Ok . The thing to remember is that musicians usually play in groups , the money is therfore split up , and so there is a big need to play for a long time .Plaza del Pi had a minor revolution a few years back and threw out all the musicos . If you play the Ramblas , be good enough to make enough money at the weekend ( when you can play loud and proud ), or play tranquilamente during the week . There are other much better places to play if you look for them .
