I've got a few copies of the Cellini DVD for sale.

If you're interested, send me an email.
Note: Do this asap: I only have a few (literally.)

Anyone from this forum gets it for 50 bucks, post paid.
('Normal' Retail = 59.95)

me = Doug Conn = connjure@cox.net

FYI:
The focus of the DVD is on how to work the streets (as opposed to learning techniques for magic tricks.) It's very, VERY good.

Regards to all,
Doug Conn

PS: Just realized there was a space to sell stuff here (excuse the newbieness.) So, for those that may have seen this info in the 'Educational' section, please pardon the repost.

To fill in a few blanks, here's the details:

I am NOT the distributor of the tapes...
I'm simply a friend of Jims.
I originally helped get the ball rolling' on this project (long story) So... (Eventually) The producers of the tape sent me 12 copies to do with what I want.

I"m giving 1/2 of those to some local folks and friends,
that leaves five or six to sell... I simply thought the people on this forum would be interested.

Gazzo,
When making public accusations, it's always wise to privately contact the person you chose to accuse... you ignorant fucker. ( I owed ya one wink.gif

Regards,
Doug Conn

PS: I did not give you three... So you might have me confused with someone else... (which makes you doubly ignorant.)

Now Gazzo, "Stole" is a strong word. Entirely acurate but strong never the less. smile.gif

Hey, you clowns, flaming is not necessary -- just a little bit of fun!

Before I left on my summer tour to get out of New Orleans' heat and humidity, I found out about the Celini tape. I said I really want to see it! Someone else said "you already know everything he teaches on the tape." I said I still want to see it -- if nothing else it would be nice to get confirmation!

It is a GREAT tape -- yeah, I've worked out many of the techniques Jim talks about thru hours of failure and mintes of success. But BELIEVE me, I still have much to learn! This is a must-see no matter your act, no matter your experience.

Thanks, Doug, for sharing! <img src="graemlins/jester.gif" border="0" alt="[jester]" />

I don't know about that. A friend of mine gave me a copy to review, because my act is in it, and his company produced it. Its a gem of a gem if you are new, but for a seasoned act... a must? Not by a longshot. Its fantastic information for the beginning street performer, but it ends there, I think.

Herbie,

This DVD doesn't have how-tos on any magic tricks. It is more tips on street performing regardless of what you do (magic, juggling, etc).

hey Conn,

Let me get this straight, you were GIVEN (i.e. for free) the tapes and you're selling them for $50.

Retailers sell them for $59 and presumably buy them from the distributor for $30.

I'd rather pay $9 extra and buy it from a retailer, knowing this. His mark-up is substantially less, and his overhead substantially greater.

p.s. ever heard of "pass the savings on to your customers?"

Not to presume to know for sure, but it sounds like he may have been involved with the project and was "paid" in DVDs for his services. This is a common practice in the making of magic videos. Many performers are often paid in "tape or disk" to be sold at lectures or through other means.

This being said the tapes may have been EARNED and not GIVEN. **shrug** Who knows.

Best,

Dan-

I saw a bald grumpy old man doing a children's magic show in covent garden a few months ago, making some oranges magically appear from out of his magical bag.

Does any one know if I can get a video of his magic tricks for my children's party magic show or where he is? Someone said he went to America because they think he's funny there, but I saw all the little children laughing in Covent Garden.

Children's parties is the new street performing

I remember the name of the magic man who was doing the children's magic show in Covent Garden, it was The Great Gazzo or some thing similar.
I have also been told he has made a video entitled, "Children, they can believe in magic as well".
Someone said that he is performing around the Boston area doing birthday parties.
Can anyone help please?????

Remember, magic can happen to anyone

yes i have seen the Gaz recently he came by this morn to pick up some things.
herbie- he said he gave the money to the aussie J.P. who passed thru in the fall. could be true.
apparently he did do a deal where he sold a video of his performance for an undisclosed sum (a lot)?!?!
can you do that? i have a juggling show for sale...
he does the oldest trick in the book- cups and balls.
oranges? melons? just the other day i slipped an extra orange into his um.. you know what.. and it did not even faze him. pulled it off no problem. he did not even realize he was doing it, at the time, but of course later he lied and swore he knew what he was doing all along.
