I've seen them in the catalogue for Unicycle/voltige (www.unicycle.fr). I think DM makes them as well.

Thanks Steven ... I ended up finding one at Semcycle@aol ... a bit closer to home.

Ive discovered that a seatpost from a bike can be the right dimensions for a unicycle seatpost extension unit.
after checking the dimensions to ensure compatibility, you just get a hacksaw and saw about one cm (1/4 inch??)off the fatter end of the bicycle seatpost(because the manufactureres make a slight curve and the hole is smaller than it ought to be for the unicycle seatpost to fit inside).the uni seatpost should fit inside.
now you need to make a vertical cut in the seatpost and add a standard bike seatpost clamp or quickrelease clamp(easy to scavenge/cheap to buy.
this keeps the modified bike seatpost and the unicycle seatpost as one rigid unit. Ill be happy to email pics of my home-made unicycle seatpost extender upon request.
