Does anyone have any experience with myrtle beach, SC?

Myrtle Beach would be a great place to busk if you can get a permit. I checked into it a few years ago and there's lots red tape. Lots and lots of tourists everywhere. Broadway At The Beach (which is about a mile from the beach) could easily be a seven day a week pitch if you can get permission or just want to take your chances. Would love to hear of anyone's experience there. The crowds and the money are definately there during the season.
