Does anyone have any info on the pitch in Dublin. Is there a pitch?
are there permits? Or are there any festivals in or around Dublin at the moment?

any info would be great!

Cheers. <img src="graemlins/square.gif" border="0" alt="[square smile]" />

Dublin,

sure there are pitches, depending on the size of your show. the biggest one i know is templebar square, seems to work better for the agressive type shows, for performers who are excellent at handling drunk hecklers (there are guaranteed some there). But all in all its completely workable, been there done it, going to be in Dublin myself 4-8th september.
There is also Grafton street, where you have to set up your show in a way where it doesn't bother the shops, weekends are of course the time to work.
Ireland also has some other good spots, like Galway (Johnny Massacres baby) nice place, abit windy tho'.
Ireland is a great beautiful place, full of surprisess.
festivals: Killarny streetfest, and there are some other smaller once, the festivals are normally in the summer season.

good luck,

Oh forgot to mention, every time you work Dublin, you have to count on some streetkids grabbing money out of your hat and running off with it, it always happens, accept it, consider it tax. It can get rough, I have personally been attacked there a couple of times, so has i think everyone else who works there. The usuals at the pitch 2 years ago were Dave McSavage, (v.funny ) Stickman, tho i think he isn't there anymore, a couple more, but never seemed to be more than 6 shows a day.

I was there in 2001 to stilt walk the Dublin marathon. Playing tourist in Temple Bar, I notice 2-3 kids performing. Very enjoyable, so I put a couple of punts in their hat . . . and they stopped!
