sending HTML pages as email

Once in a while I get an HTML pages as an email, and I wonder if anyone has experience doing this.

I tried a couple of experiments but I couldn't make it work - I am using outlook express. Is that the problem (Microsoft products sometimes are)?

I worked on this a while ago. Unfortunately, I am not quite sure anymore how to do it. No way you can do it with Outlook, that's for sure. You'll need a html editor for that, like DreamWeaver.
I do remember the way I found out, however. I saved an html formatted e-mail (extension eml), opened it with DreamWeaver, removed all the clutter and changed the mail into one of mine and imported in Outlook. Voila!

And then I never used it this knowledge to send e-mails... :D

Dreamweaver is not an html editor, it's a WYSIWYG editor, you can edit html with any text program, your problem is in some of outlook express' preferences I think, Peter. I dont use it, but there should be an "allow html" or "send as html" preference somewhere.

What's in a name, Doctor, as it is quite possible to edit the bare html code in DreamWeaver, once you've opened the right window to do so.

And using html coded messages is not as easy as you think it should be, trust me, I have been searchingb for this. Not in my mind, but in the program itself. The program only allows you some text format stuff, not fully html coded page.

Just wanted to clarify your statement for others.
If either of you are finding this that difficult tho, switch from outlook express, because sending an html email is not difficult at all. I've never used express, but I used to have outlook, and sending html pages is a breeze, these days I use eudora, the best damn email program on the planet, which I recommend highly. Mostly tho, you should realize that not everyone can read html emails, the idea isn't as good as it seems at first, I don't know what you are using this for, but you can always make what you want into a .jpg and attach it.

And if you think you might be mailing to a fairly large number of computer types, you should know that most of them actually despise HTML mail. I and many friends will automically unsubscribe from any list that sends it to me.

Further, as PDAs and cell phones increasingly become a convenient way to get on line, realize that plain text is becoming important again.

That's why I didn't use it myself after all...
