Amsterdam & Paris

Good Day.
I'm looking for a good hotel recommendation in Amsterdam for this August. Travelling w. my wife & two teenager kids. Any suggestions would be most welcomed.

Also spending a couple of nights in Paris. Someone recommended the Hotel des Ecoles on Rue des Ecoles.
