The link is www.fringenyc.org. (http://www.fringenyc.org.) It is a fun festival with a lot of off-off-Broadway shows, I hang out there every year, volunteered for Kids Village in 2000. It is always in the end of august, and they have Fringe ElFresco specially for street acts. I don't know how they pay, but if you do a show there they give you a performers pass which entitles you for cheap admission to all the theatre perfomances and half-price food and drinks in the performers lounge and a free party in the end of the festival. Fun thing to do for local people, great networking gig.
