Last year there was a post on this forum from the manager of Artscape Festival in Atlanta, I wanted to visit a friend there anyway, so I went. It is a 3 day art-show in the Big 5 Points, in the very Center of Atlanta, i would say about 500.000 attendence over the weekend. They have children's corner, but I would say it's better to set up on the green in the middle of the square, inside the circle of the art-vendors. I really loved organizers of the festival, they were extremely nice and helpful. We ended up doing a segment on a morning TV-news, advertising the Festival, and had a lot of press-coverage. The deal is - if you work for tips, you get on list of performers for free, they don't pay you, but you make pretty good money there just working for yourself. It is definitely good for local performers or somebody who wants to visit Atlanta and combine a trip with work. If you are interested, contact Ardath Prendergast at dancers@mindspring.com.
