Festivals touring...

I am thinking seriously about traveling Europe for the summer and I want to put together my itinerary of how I want to travel...I am thinking of starting in Italy and working my way up to the Edinburgh festival in August. Is there a list of festivals that are workable for the traveling street performer? Can someone send me some good locations that I should definatley hit, either through this post or possibly email. Is there a regular circuit that falls within the time frame of June-August?
