View Full Version : unbreakable plates

Until very recently I owned a set of three hand-made fibreglass dinner plates, designed for juggling (not dimple-centred spinning plates - these ones looked like normal white plates).

Unfortunately they recently disappeared along with a full bag of other equipment.

Does anyone have any idea where I might find similar unbreakable plates for juggling? I wasn't that keen on the fibreglass ones as they had to be painted white and the paint chipped off. Ideally something made of solid white plastic or pvc would be best.

Any suggestions?

Sometimes in the Dollar Stores you find Picnic sets made from Melamime? Melamine? It is a solid material, and the white is very white. It's not your ordinary plastic plate.

That's the sort of thing I'm thinking of - ideally quite thick melamine so it looks like good quality restaurant tableware. The only drawback is that I live on an island north of Scotland and even if you could find them in pound shops (which you don't seem to be able to in Scotland, as far as I've seen) the nearest one is across the water and about 150 miles south.

Have you ever seen anything like it on the internet, or even offered by a juggling supply company?

Cheers,
Malcolm

I have seen quite realistic, thick plastic china bowls and cups. Try searching under resturant supply. Supply, wholesate, trade, unbreakable, etc. rather than retail. The ones I saw could easily be mistaken for china except for their sound and sturdyness.

Good luck, be sure and let us know how it goes.
