Unicycle size?

Hey folks was thinking of learning to ride the unicycle. Looked on Dube and he has different sizes. What size should I go with? Does it matter my height, weight, or just preference?

For all your unicycle needs, see www.unicycle.com (http://www.unicycle.com) Brian Dube sells cheap made in china models (savage or cyclepro), but their good enough to learn on. You can also get a decent starter unicyle on ebay for around $50.

As far as what to buy, the bigger wheel is better for "distance" riding, while a smaller wheel is good on stage because you don't travel so much with each turn of a pedal. 20" are generally easier to maneuver.

I agree, get the smaller wheel, and go to ebay. I got a schwinn there for fifty not long ago. If money is no issue, get a DM from uniclcle.com, but tell them not to put 4 advertising stickers on it.

Learn on a slight downhill. handicap ramps are best, and you can always just push away the people who normally use 'em.

I've had good luck with Tom Miller at the Unicycle Factory. The site is:

Don't be put off by the poor site, his craftsmanship is excellent. I have bought four unis from him, and had him build a fancy pair of custom stilts. Tom does all sizes and configurations, including break apart unis and circus bikes. Also, he is based in Northern Indiana, so it's a stone's throw from the Cincinnati area. A visit to his shop is worth the short road trip.

Just putting in my two cents.

I don't know about unicycles (I've only ever used the one) but I know that Juggle Art is a good company. I've bought several props from them and never had a complaint.
