If you are backpacking? do you need an amp that bad? the smallest I have seen are the fender amp can, which may be hard to find, or a Pignose, more likely to be found at a music shop than the fender. They are about as light as you'll get.
I also recently went to a shop and the new Create taxi, is one solid plastic casing- looks very durable. I think I'll pick one up it was only $250 US.

Pedro!
So nice to hear from you ... please advise as to your needs for the amp ... music or just voice?
I love ponies too!

Hi!
I need it just for music...
Because my street show works better with music.
You know if I can get the "Create taxi" in Europe

You should be able to get the Crate Taxi in Europe, as I bought mine in the Netherlands... It's quite heavy though, if you are backpacking...

Forget about the best one to get- how about the cheapest - that is the loudest- and can have two hook ups to it - I want a fender passport but its so darn much!

The Florida Magic Portable PA System weighs only 5 pounds, will run on 110V or 220V AC power OR a 12 volt battery. Wireless mic built in, extra input for a tape deck or cd player. May be just what you need. Check it out at http://floridamagiccompany.com
Hope this helps...

Thanks Dan.
I looks like the one I want.
Any one have used it in a outdoor show?

If you are backpacking , you need to throw away the backpack and invest in two sturdy plastic boxes and a fishing trolley . I use a fender amp can and on the trolley it just rolls along .

I use a Peavey Solo Portable Sound System. Cost £79
It works good - takes 8 D batteries. I use super hi capacity GP NiMH rechargables in it. They can be recharged up to 1000 times withou memory effect.
Two inputs too.
Yes this amp is a bit heavy. All portable amps I've tried are heavy.
