Hi! My name is Jim Bowen. I have been doing mask and puppet theater for the past 8 years. This past summer, I did a lot of street performance in Philadelphia. I was Hired by The South Street Headhouse District to perform my marionette show. I had so much fun that I would like to emabark on a busking tour next spring and summer. Places I am aware of: Atlanta Underground, Key West, Harvard Square in Boston, Bethesda Fountain NYC. Of course the best case scenerio are places where I do not need licences and permits, etc. can anybody help me get started with planning this tour? Has anyone performed on The Jersey Shore Boardwalks? I would be most grateful for any info others can share! Thanks

Jim

If you are interested in performing on Atlantic City's Boardwalk, see David Greenspun, he owns the miniature golfcoarse on the boardwalk.

Or the Spanish fiesta season up here in the North , lotsof fun , increadible amounts of people on the street , children wandering around until the early hours , no permits needed , not really any police , beaches , happy camping etc.etc.

Jersey shore board walk is workable to the best of my knowledge. I met a man working there, doing card tricks and selling little packet tricks to tourists. He said that a vending/performing liscence was cheap I forget how much exactly. Seemed very workable, he was pulling a crowd, mostly teenagers and his show was less than exciting compaired to most shows I've seen.
