Portland apartments

Hey,

My BF and I are moving to Portland for a 6-month contract, and would like to find a cheapish month-to-month apartment instead of signing a lease for a place we've never seen.

We'd vastly prefer a small studio than living with other people, I know it's the thing to do in Portland, but we've both had enough scary roommate experiences by now and would just like a place to ourselves.

Anyone got suggestions for places? Doesn't matter too much where it is so long as it's within Portland proper.

Try sublets on Portland craigslist - very easy to rent a place there, I got a lot of offers when I posted my own housing wanted ad.
