First of all I would like to thank everyone for contacting us as we have received info from close to 40 different acts. The response was great and definitely appreciated. A special thanks to those of you who have send promotional packages yes we have received them all. Now for the good news the Busker Festival is an event that the will be granted funding form the Downtown Chilliwack Business Improvement Association. Due to budgetary restraints and a number of special events that will only take place this year have been told that we cannot have the funding we had hoped for this year.

What does this mean, The money will be in place for next year and the BIA is committed to producing a Busker Festival as part of the annual promotional plan for 2003. Also we are now working with the Chilliwack BIA developing a new four promotional plan which will include four major projects that will all have room for Busker involvement

Once again we would like to thank each of you for your patience and your response to our festival, we will be in contact with each of you regarding additional date throughout the year and we will be posting the event on gig post again so watch for it
