Alright, here's a sort of crazy curiosity. Does anybody know where I can find a relativly (To the object's normal costs) cheap German, or gym wheel? This thing is driving me nuts, I must try one!

best bet is to get yourself over to a circus school and try a class...where are you?

I live out of Sylvan Lake, Alberta, Canada. I won't be there for a while. That's actually the plan, but in the future not yet. I'm just curious how much it would cost and where on earth I could find one.
(Bonus points if you can find a decommissioned submarine, preferably from the second world war that somebody could live in. I've been searching for that bugger for a while now!)

All german wheels are custom made out of germany. Most are built to your height. You are looking at 3 to 5 grand.

If you can draw a good diagram of what you want, you may be able to get a local to you welder to build it. But you'd need to know your equipment pretty well.
I have my aerial equipment custom made locally and it saves me a ton of money over the (very quality) equipment from Barry.

Yeah, this is starting to seem like the best solution. I've found one in Calgary and will be trying to get a feel for it there, however with the amount of welders around having one made seems like the best idea. I was just worried about inaccuracy before, it's not so much of a problem now. Thanks everybody!
