We are looking for a variety of street performers for every Friday night beginning June 27th and ending August 22nd to perform on our town's (Boonton, NJ) mini boardwalk. There is no pay (sorry), but you can get some good exposure (the restaurants in town may hire)and you can pass the hat. It's in conjunction with promoting our town and getting the stores to stay open on Friday night.
If you're interested in hearing more, write to me soon! Thanks. Hope to hear from you. spalmer@microstrat.com

I see you posted on the 11th and till now there seem to be no takers. Perhaps if you persuaded those restaurants to provide a meal, or other vendors to provide something you might have more luck!

Exposure doesn't pay the rent, or fill a stomach. Most buskers can get plenty of exposure on their normal pitches.

My experience is you get what you pay for, so for free you won't get much quality.

We are looking for a variety of restaurants for every Friday night beginning June 27th and ending August 22nd to feed our town's Buskers. There is no pay (sorry), but you can get some good exposure (audience members may eat at your place) and you can pass the hat. It's in conjunction with promoting our own businesses and making more money on Friday night.

I had actually emailed this person expressing interest and asking for more information about these restaurants which are wanting to hire us. I asked what sort of performing space these restaurants have. I asked what sorts of acts they are looking to hire.

I got a response. It stated something to the effect of "we are ironing out the details ... will contact you at a later time."

Although I'm not holding my breath, I don't intend to totally write them off. You never know.

(Who does of course realize that people *die* of "exposure")
