St. Louis and midwest?

Hi and happy holidays to everyone! I'm new here and have been enjoying reading all the tips and insight and now I would like some advice.

I'm a full time musician in the midwest and next summer I am going to try my hand at being a street musician for fun, experience, and hopefully a little profit. I play solo guitar using a battery powered amplifier.

Anyone have any midwestern experience to share...especially in the St. Louis area?

I've heard of people performing circle shows in the Plaza in Kansas City. I'll prolly do a few this summer.
