I know theres a couple of huge French festivals, one in the town that used to be a secondary vatican.
Can't remember the name, theres more than one, its time to submit expressions of interest for the next season.
Does anyone have details, name and contact perhaps?
Thanks

Avignon. It's in the south, BEAUTIFUL city. Romanesque etc etc. There are two festivals, Avignon & AvignonOFF! the OFF being the less "mafia-controlled" of the two.

I'll get you more info...

france is a tricky one, most festivals want to declare the artists and if youre not a french re'sident its not too interesting.I am living here as an 'intermittent de spectacle' and there fore for me its very interesting as the social security give me money for being an artist who does not earn quite as much as jhonny haliday.
If you are from abroad you still have to pay social charges or the sponsor must pay so you may loose out.If the sponsor pays he cannot get this money back as you cannot make your claims.
any way other than that the only good thing about france is the weather and the tourists.
