This is the place directly behind Quincy Market. Is there any tryout or permit needed to work there?

Marketplace Center has no affliliation with Faneuil Hall Marketplace business-wise, but as of this year, FHM is in charge of auditioning and scheduling the MC pitches (both of them.) So the auditions (linked below) are for BOTH Faneuil Hall and Marketplace center.

MC used to schedule their pitches in-house, but I think they got sick of dealing with Gazzo and now they're giving the responsibility to Faneuil Hall.

Hi Guys,

I have a question I hope you can help me with.

It’s almost that time of year again. This year I’d like to have my stuff in one sock before the auditions for Faneuil Hall. I was a day late and a dollar short last year.

My question is I know Faneuil hall requires insurance to work but do you need the insurance before you audition (Or do you recommended it to make things easier getting in) or can you buy it upon acceptance?

I’d just hate to drop a hundred and fifty and not get in.

You do not require insurance for the audition.

If you do get accepted to the program, you need to show proof of insurance before you get your first scheduled spot.

If I had another errr commitment (I dare not say job for risk of being clobered) could I still audition for these pitches and let them know that I wouldn't be able to perform at certain times to obtain fewer time slots but not have a bunch of time slots that I was signed up for but couldnt go to? Any idea of a work around if this is not possible? Also, if I have two totally different shows, one musical walk by and one juggling/circus circle show could I audition them both? Thankee
