Central Park

Posted 08-14-10 at 05:28 PM by jugglerjosh

Well, the old spot, once frequented by David Rice is pretty lame, north of the Zoo.

Worked today 3-6 but the traffic flow just does not lend itself to a good show stopping area. I may try the Literary Walk again if Wein is overflowing with acts, as a morning battle to arrive is difficult with my other personal obligations.

However, qualified 7 balls 3 times today. I realized on the 3rd set, as I had time to gather, that perhaps a good 5-6 base is simply 50 catches...

Central Park

Posted 08-11-10 at 11:16 AM by jugglerjosh

Well heat wave is ending in NYC. Performed for small crowds in Central Park with "Green Token" and for families and children. Several single parents or guardians with children.

Ball spins popular.

Also my own routines and sequences. Still feels like summer, not a back to school feeling in NYC yet.

Thanks for your kind tips.

A week in Central Park

Posted 08-08-10 at 09:43 AM by jugglerjosh

Well still working in Central Park.

North of the Zoo was excellent, friendly crowds of families and children 2-10.

Yesterday Rangers did a "sweep".

A few other good locations, Literary Walk, and Bethesda Fountain allowing peaceful acts.

Thank you for supporting this street performer.

Central Park Zoo. Green Tokens?

Posted 07-30-10 at 05:12 PM by jugglerjosh

Well, have been working at a catholic school.

Street performed today. Went to the Zoo and Sasha and his pretty partner mentioned that the City is "going to settle" and he hopes no arrests will happen again. A map seller named Jason said that he was stopped in his work.

I setup by the fork in the road, you know, where the cobblestones start if you walk to Wallman Rink, and a Ranger said to move on. The Green Token was the "book line" and I complied....

Getting the hang of this

Posted 07-30-10 at 10:23 AM by Moira

I've gotten twenty-dollar bills the last three times I've gone out. Feels good to get that kind of approval.

Last night a lady told me I was the best street performer she'd ever seen. I'm so glad she hasn't seen you guys yet.
