Do you want wood or metal? If you want metal, try a local metal shop, or I can highly recommend the guys who build my rigs. They'd be able to build you a table to whatever specs you want (and I can help on the engineering), and ship it to you.

If you want wood, try a local college theatre dept - they tend to be good builders and work at a more reasonable rate.

    Hey Alison,

I was wondering if you could recommend a prop builder. I'm doing the 5 stack rolla bolla in practice and need to have a table built to bring it to performance. I've talked to builders who work with various theatre / opera companies in Boston, and although great at what they do, this is new to them and they want an hourly wage to kinda figure this out. They were estimating $2000+ for a table and frankly I find that a tad excessive.

I don't mind paying more, but if it's that much than I would prefer working with someone who is circus.

Thanks for any help and my best to you!
