1)unless you're looking for trouble

2)somewhere near the 'beginning

"Be humble for the money pitch Let them pay the performer, not the character

3) disagree, but I used to feel the same way (thus the rose/nose)... I was wrong, you are too... the audience does not like to pay the "person"... they don't KNOW that "person" they have NO IDEA who that person is and if you start screwing around with perceptions you better be a good actor otherwise keep the hat the same find something that fits "YOU" the performer not the person
