Default I don't know where else to post this

Today I flew from Manchester NH to Baltimore MD, and of the 100 or so people on the flight, only 4 (including me) checked bags..... WTF!

Probably fallout from the fact that in the new terminal at Heathrow, they weren't allowing people to check baggage. Problems with the baggage delivery system. Lots of flights canceled, people not getting there bags, etc..

Hmm reminds me of a Monty Python Song now that I think about it.

"I'm so worried about the baggage retrieval they've got at Heathrow"

Yeah, sooo... *yaaaaaawn*... I'm just killin' time in Honolulu. whatev'. Here's what I've gathered so far... From what I gather... this place is pretty much just like Newfoundland. Except HERE the pineapples don't taste nearly so much like potato or cod.

And what's with this whole heat thing? Something's wrong, man. This doesn't feel right. Where are the parkas? Where are the long johns? Where's the zamboni??

Loggin off,

Hat

Oh goodness, my mother is special.

I totally forgot my birthday was coming up and that I'd be away at a fest during it, but my mother just came in from a trip to the bank and tossed me my present... $100, taken out entirely in fives, toonies and loonies, to seed my hat.

What a special woman.

Default seeds

Just what do you do to in the entertainment world to get seeds in your hat ? If you balanced some crap on your face, I'd make sure you got a good spot in Key West right next to me, or maybe Silverman! Now that's being creative !!!!

Seeding your hat is rather odd. I start with an empty paint can every time, never ask for anything, and go home with lots o' moolah!

Default part of a larger routine

"If it weren't for denial I wouldn't be a comedian, because to be a comedian you have to go on stage those first few years and BOMB and then walk off stage and think 'that went GREAT!' Because otherwise you'd never get onstage the next night. You would just think 'human beings don't like me.' But sometimes denial can kill you..."

You know, life wouldn't hurt so deeply if I hadn't been built to be so hopeful. ...Pessimists have it easy. And yet I wouldn't trade.

Today is Friday the 13th. Why does that date have the connotation that it does ?
I did a little research.
It has some links to ancient myths but one author, noting that references are all but nonexistent before 1907 but frequently seen thereafter, has argued that its popularity derives from the publication that year of Thomas W. Lawson's popular novel Friday, the Thirteenth,[10] in which an unscrupulous broker takes advantage of the superstition to create a Wall Street panic on a Friday the 13th

and......

According to the Stress Management Center and Phobia Institute in Asheville, North Carolina, an estimated 17 to 21 million people in the United States are affected by a fear of this day. Some people are so paralyzed by fear that they avoid their normal routines in doing business, taking flights or even getting out of bed. "It's been estimated that [US]$800 or $900 million is lost in business on this day".

all of this means not much at all until you realise that we had friday the 13th last month also, and there will be another in november ! 3 in the one year ! Previously unheard of.
Mostly there is just 1 a year.
