Default Where can I buy liability insurance in Canada to cover busking?

Hi everyone

I'm looking for some advice on buying liability insurance. I'm in a group of 9 buskers that are doing a few festivals this summer, and I'm trying to get liability insurance to cover the group. Problem is, i'm having trouble finding someone that will cover us. I've tried a few places (statefarm, allstate, a few banks) but none of them cover that kind of thing. The closest i've come is a place called HKMB that sells insurace tailored for buskers for 425 a year, but they don't do group rates. Which means that we'd all have to buy individual policies which comes in around 4000$, which is alot for a maximum of 4 festivals. I'd like to know if anyone knows somewhere that will give group rates to buskers. Our act is a percussion thing, based on STOMP, so there's no extra risky elements involved such as fire, aeriel performance, knives, etc.

Thanks!

Default insurance

thanks for the tip. I got linked from the website to k and k insurance which looks like it'll be exactly what I need. I also found another forum suggesting Al Fellerman, so i'll check them both out and see how low of a price i can go. I doubt i can register as a company because of the more informal nature of the group. (i.e. we're not professional musicians, and being university students, we don't do it full time). I've got the co-operators looking around for us to see if they can find a group policy for us, so i'll see where that goes.

Clownsoftheus.com

Al Fellerman is retired, but the company is still in business.
