Post Beach Street USA, Virginia, Beach, Va

There is quite abit I can say about this event!! All good!! They put you up in a nice hotel over ooking the Atlantic Ocean and the staff at the hotel is amazing.

The organizers of the event are quite friendly and a pleasure to work for. They run a pretty tight ship here.

The crowds have been really wonderful and very responsive. I have ROCKED the place every night for over two weeks now.

We are in our last few days of the event and although I am looking forward to being back in Clearwater soon, I have had a great time here.

This event is well worth looking into for next summer. I hope they invite me back.

Paul did a marvelous job with booking some really good acts here. I have had the pleasure of working with Hilby, Fly By Night Jugglers, Bonk, Keith Leaf, Freash Cut Fire, Paul Krendl and Company and there are many more. Everyone has show professionalism and I invited any and all to come down South and see what we have to offer.

Thanks Virginia Beach and everyone involved!!!!!!!!!!

Default worried about you

I have been really worried about you guys! I haven't been able to get in touch with you'll by phone or e-mail. I was really hoping you were just to busy working all them big time fairs that you didn't have time to post on p.net for a while,or call me. I worked Virginia beach one time in about 1975. there was a board walk there ( I think it was concrete) with tons of people walking back and forth. I played banjo there and made enough money to get on up the road to Georgetown on a trip across the East coast. It was a great place and had a great time. I've heard you can still work there somewhere? Hi to Sharon and Nick. New # 305-923-1602 Jeepandmo@hotmail.com

ah, so that's who "The Amazing Beaumanz" is. it was a pleasure meeting you and getting to watch you work, Dallas. and thanks again for the invite to Clearwater--i'm sure i'll make it out that way sooner or later.

i agree about the Beach Street gig. this was my second year working it and i hope to return. having stayed in a house with a bunch of other people last year, i have to say that having my own ocean-front hotel room with a balcony was quite, as Taxi Trix might say, sublime.

Paul does a great job at Beach Street, and the crowds are awesome. I had a blast there last summer. Hope you are well, Bonk.

Default Vagina Beach

Fly by Night had a great time! We meet some great folks and managed to learn a bit about street performing from one of the slickest street acts out there... thanks Dallas! We hung out with some other great acts... Hilby has a funny or amazing story for every conversation, and Bonk is a PIMP!

SWEET hotel, great local eateries (Pollards Chicken), gigantic crowds, great staff and the weather was perfect!

Thanks to the booker Krendl for keeping it real!

if you work this gig... BRING STUFF TO SELL!

Virginia Beach was fab. The crowds were big and kind and the management good to work with. Thanks Krendl for hooking it up it was great to meet you and your crew. Thanks Ryan and Steve for the tip-off about the gig before I started checking the forums regular. Good to see you guys down there, albeit brief. Enjoyed hanging with you all: Bonk, Keith, Hilby, Heather, Fran, Fresh Cut folks and Brian Rudo- nice of you, mate, to drive me to the airport. Sorry I didn't get to hang with you, Dallas, maybe next time.

Default Finally here

Spent a relaxing evening hangin on the beach, ready to do shows!!

If you are coming here, I highly recommend bringing a bicycle!!! This year we brought ours and it makes life so much easier.

If you are a skater, we longboard, it also looks like they lightened up on the boardwalk restrictions. Last year the cops stopped me from skate boarding on the boardwalk. Roller blading in fine.

Nick and I got to town a day early, went to Baja Cantina for dinner and watched several shows.

Hilby was great as usual.
Bonk was working a good crowd.
The ventiloquist has a rockin' show!!

We usually don't get a chance to see other shows, it's worth comin the day early.

The USA Breakdancers will be here next week. Lookin forward to chillin with Klown, Will, Ready, and Mini.
This beach won't be the same.

Angry Problems in Virginia Beach

If any one has had any problems at Virginia beach's Beach street festival in the past please email me? We had a really bad experience with the people who run that festival this past weekend. If anyone is interested in knowing more about our experience please email me?
If your a performer who wants to be respected and treated as a professional
then you may want to stay away from Virginia Beach's Beach street festival.

Thumbs down

X-2!
I had been holding my tongue on this because it seems like some people really dig it, but I have run into a number of folks in the past few weeks that also had less then wonderful experiences.
My experience was awful. Drop me a line if you want details.

Yup me too. unprofessional and a lack of respect, left me with a bitter taste, lost interest to work with this operation. I wish them all the best though.
