Default Best nylon bullwhip

Getting a new whip for the new year -- any thoughts on the best nylon bullwhip for performing?

contact a guy named Rhett kelley.

He makes the best nylon whip I have used. you can get a snake whip, cow whip or bullwhip.

his pricing is reasonable and his workmanship is great.

you also can choose your colors as it is nylon.

www.cowwhips.com

just beware he has a little bit of a religous pitch that will come with your whip as well as on his website.

His whips are in my opinion the best in the nylon market.

Second that recommendation. Great stuff, and i've heard about him from a lot of other whip artists. And hey, who couldn't use a little more Jesus, right?

Ot(kind of): I Just saw this post and was wondering what is the usability difference between a nylon whip and a hide one? Is there any reason you would use one over the other except maybe the price?

I have just started learning stock whip using a whip i was given as a gift, It is a 7 Foot kangaroo hide Australian Stock whip and is very nice.

The only problem is that I am really struggling to learn a few of the cracks and i think it is beacuse the whip is really long and heavy and i am quite little. So i was thinking about buying a shorter nylon whip to get started on first.

Any Thoughts?

Thanks,
Blue

Default whip materials

Generally nylon is cheaper and not subject to whims of humidity. Hide is more popular for 90% of whip crackers.

Getting a whip to crack is an odd skill; much less strength, more finesse - some describe it as like casting (as in fishing) or pitching. Get a local teacher, book or video for lots more info.

Safety: always be aware of the area around you, keep people back and always, always wear eye protection.

If you need book or web resources, let me know

Thanks,

I have a good DVD and have already got a fair few cracks down but the problem is that beacuse the whip is so long and heavy it takes a lot for me to be able to lift it and get the whole thing of the ground properly.

Do you think 7 foot is to long for a beginner?

i do not think 7' is too long for a beginner.

if you do need a book ever, Andrew Conway put out a nice one a few years back.

Default Bull wipps

I personally don't see much with bull wipps. Will Dark does 2 bull wipps in his show at mallory to draw a crowd. To me it seems kinda lame. He just makes them pop?????I use to see a guy with the American Gypsy Theater Troupe snatch a cigarette out of a girls mouth severals years back. That seemed worthy. Has any one seen those guys lately?

i think my whip cracking routine is descent and worthy, but I am not going to talk about it here as the walls have eyes and the corn has ears.

but it is not about the cracking...no one cares about the cracking.

I showed this video to my dad and he came up with Bipolar Fun (crazy fun).

I had one myself but, have you ever had a good idea that just disappears in moments after you have it. That idea blew away.

Thumbs Up my fall is falling apart

Thanks for the tips on nylon whips ... both my 6 footer and my 8 footer kangaroo snake whips from Peter Jack in NZ are falling apart ... I have to constantly clean them to prevent mold from all this humidity ... thanks Frisbee ...

P.S. stay away from my wife.

I just wrote a review of LOKO WHIPS in my blog at www.myspace.com/stuntcomedian....

Nylon whips.

I also have a list of nylon whip makers and my thoughts on each of them.
