Default DAK Industries PA System ???

http://www.dak.com/reviews/3010story...FRVZ2god6GOElg
Hey guys, I'm looking to buy my first PA System and I came across this.
I have no idea when it comes to technical stuff and electronics.
Has any one used this? Does it look like its a decent piece of equipment?

Or can anyone give me a link to a good product for a decent price?

Thanx, Nick

I found these reviews on Amazon.com. There are also a bunch of positive ones on GuitarCenter.com, but only for speaking. Search for Nady WA-120.
Can't be beat for the price, April 6, 2009

Do you need an inexpensive, portable speaker system for mid-sized meetings? Then this is the system for you. The microphone is easy to use and the sound is great for such a small speaker. The controls are uncomplicated and the system allows input from an external source other than the microphone. The sound quality wouldn't be great for musical performances but is perfect for going along with a Powerpoint presentation, for example. The fact that it will run on batteries means it can be used outside easily, but probably would not be great for a large, open area. But a family or parish picnic? Perfect.

Very nice little unit with acceptable but not great tonal quality. Works well amplifying my wife's flute (had to rig up a holder for the tieclip microphone), but speaker coloration isn't natural sounding when amplifying a saxophone. Reverb is kind of poor (delay would have been much nicer, whether digital or analog, but for the money what do I expect...) Surprisingly loud.

I'd like to find something comparably portable and convenient, but with higher quality sound, better effects.

That looks too small for street work, and never ever buy VHF wireless microphones. You'll end up with a lot of reception problems.
