Question busking in Switzerland

Does anybody know about busking in Switzerland? I want to go to Chur, Locarno, St. Gallen, Luzern, Bern... everywhere where it is nice to be on motorbike...
I heard rumors about strict laws against busking (Zürich, Winthertur...).
So im thankful for tips and hints

i don't know how helpful this will be but i went @2 yrs. ago

when i went to zurich you were only allowed to work by the lake which was deserted unless there was a major festival. my friends living there tell me it is possible to work in town after 9pm.

basil was good i didn't speak to a cop once and i made good money. there was a large main drag that emptied into an out door market and plaza, i don't remember the name of it but it was easy to find everyone knew where it was, i just asked where all the street perfomers worked.

my favorite was bern. the law was you could work just about any where but you had to move every 30 mins.[very strict about that]

in bern i stayed in the hostel behind the capital building. [@30 francs]and at The National Hotel [@55francs] i was makin good money and the people liked me.

to make my coins into bills i went to the post office they were used to it.

everyone told me lucern was really good but i didn't go there, but my next visit i will.

usually what i do is i go to a place go to their tourist info and find out where all the pitches are, -but without telling them i'm a street performer [they usually don't like that].

then i go pay a room up for 2 days.

i work the pitch all day both days and then judge if i wanna stay past the 2 days.

if i don't make enough money to stay well then its a definate.

if i like it i might stay, i might hang around any where from a couple of weeks to a few months depending on when i wear out my welcome.

I hear Aug. 1 Is the time to be in Switzerland as it is a big National Holiday and lots of things are happening, Festivals/Celebrations, you should be able to find work around that time for sure.
