Cool Non-US performers

I am in the process of putting together a burlesque show here in the U.S. and there are a few troupes from outside the U.S. that want to come perform. Can they just come if they have the appropriate passport and I am simply covering their expense (i.e. I can't afford to pay them beyond their travel expense).

Also, a whole troupe from Australia wants to come perform and they are part of a class. Do I do things differently if this is attached to a school?

Thanks - I am new so sorry for the naivete and thanks for the help!

Default hmmm

hey this is a very good question
I have worked in the US many times and the producers have always basically paid me under the table. The responsibility for getting into the country has always been left on my shoulders.
I would love to come in with the correct stamp etc in the future. Please if you do find the information you seek post it here so we non US performers can educate our US employers and take some of the stress out of traveling.
Nice one for trying

Default Non-US Performers

So I found an answer that I wanted to share.
There is an organization here in the U.S. that put together a 74 page document that breaks down everything you need to do to perform in the U.S.

I found the document very helpful and easy to use.

I hope this helps and a special thanks to Artists From Abroad!
